Just this morning, I stumbled upon Spotify doing something unexpected.

In celebration of the release of Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045, they have added most of Yoko Kanno’s absolutely classic soundtracks for the original Stand Alone Complex TV series and feature. So I went ahead and compiled a number of favorites from over the years, as well as the two themes from the new series that is now playing on Netflix!

Originally serialized in 1989 through Kodansha Comics, the multimedia cyberpunk franchise, Ghost In The Shell, continues to fascinate and enthrall fans the world over. A mix celebrating several incarnations to date, particularly the work of one Yoko Kanno & her incredible crew of artists.
